Why do hamsters burrow ? Because they have a sense of safeness and warmness
in a burrow the hamster is safe and warm that is why your cage should contain
small areas that your hamster can burrow in.
It is normal for a hamster to scratch. Some do it out of habit, while others might need changes made to their home or to be payed more attention to. Try buying a new cage if your hamster is in a small space or taking him/her out for some playtime. Maybe even buy it a new kind of food or some treats. Hope this helps
I have a hamster of my own and it throws its bedding out of the cage too but really it doesn't mean to. It is just a way of its natural instincts kicking in. You see, like if you put hamster fluff in its cage it will automatically start cozying up in it because it is nocturnal. and its just trying to get comfy!
Hope this helped! :D
they consider it dirty bedding, they way to housecleaning. Odd seeing as mine sleep in their poo
ivy is mean that’s why she has no respect and is a brat. but she’s cute so idc
It's not really eating the bedding. They like to move things around in their cages.
It's just so it has something to do over night basically just for fun! hope this has helped:D xx
to insulate their own body heat plus the bedding acts as a sound dampener, they even bury themselves in low lightning or bright lighting its mainly because they're nocturnal in nature.
Because it's lonely and needs a good friend
to cover itself from all the noises xx
No, not if you have allready got the cage, then all you need is the hamster, food, bedding, and mabye some more toys. i have a cage from my last hamster its helps to be cheaper! hope this helps you :)
Yes, you can get a dust/sand bath for your hamster. Whatever you do, don't put it under water. It can get easily sick and cold. You can only clean it in water in case of a emergency. A dust bath may cause respiratory problems, and most hamsters don't even roll in it. It is better to get sand because it is safer. Chinchilla sand is good, too. Just sprinkle the dust/sand over the hamster is it doesn't roll in it itself. Try to get as much sand/dust off as you can before letting your hamster run through the cage by stroking it.
Depends on how many hamsters & the size of the cage. The smaller the cage & the more in one cage, the more often it needs to be cleaned. Use natural products, rinse & air dry! They HATE a dirty cage!
The ways mold can Kill a Hamster is by causing a respitory infection. Aspeargillisis Fungus grows on the Bedding when a Hamster urinates on the bedding and the bedding isn't replaced. For more Information, visit: www.hamsterownerswebs.webs.com
The cage that I have is different but what I normally do is put some wood shavings in my hamsters' cage up until he can reach the wheel, since mine is a dwarf hamster and can't really reach it. If you mean the nice fluffy bedding, like critter care, just put as much as you want in it till you think it is enough. (S)he will tear it up and place it where (s)he wants. Hope this helps :)
Sanitize the cage and get new bedding and the cage is good as new!
a warm blanket in a cage
You should use bedding in your hamster cage and you should change it and clean the cage every few days. PetProductsByRoyal.com has some nice hamster cages.
They will make a nest out of the bedding you put in the cage.
no. I have a hamster and usually I change its bedding every week. You do not have to put a whole bag in its cage. happy hamster careing! :-)
New bedding. You can wash the cage- without bedding in it: that would just be messy. I would change the bedding like every week or every other week.
Hamsters hide in their houses in their cage or under their bedding.
for a few days don't put any bedding in their cage.
You should buy it a cage, bedding, food, and a water bottle, and treat the hamster with love and care ^^
Food, a cage, water bottle, bedding, shavings, and somewhere the hamster can play like a wheel.
A cage, bedding, running wheel, water bottle, food.
Its a small or kind of big cage with a plastic bottom and wire top. You put bedding in it and toys. Then a hamster. Go on google images and you can see one. Wow dude. You didn't know that? What part didn't you get? HAMSTER, OR CAGE??????? Yea I'm sorry but that was a gay question. Whats a hamster cage? Really!
