You foot falls off¬! You foot falls off¬!
There's three reasons a deer ticks mostly get on deers and a tick mostly get on humans head or body. A deer tick gets on ticks and a tick just sucks blood from a human. A deer tick is much harder to get off then a tick.
it falls off
They get wet...
go to the doctor of course
A tick might jump on the dog, even though the dog has been treated with a monthly Flea & tick preventative, but it will not stay on there as it will die in a few hours or sooner. A tick has to bite/suck the blood out of the dog for at least 12 hours before it can pass on the diseases it carries so the Preventative takes care of that, it kills the tick before it can pass anything on and then the tick just drops off.
i found a tick on my dog and i drowned the sucker in my freaking toilet so ha i found a tick on my dog and i drowned the sucker in my freaking toilet so haThis is probably going to be really painful but you HAVE to do it. you do NOT pull it out!!!1. hold dog down2. light a match and blow it out3. immediatly after blowing hold the tip of the match onto the tick4. slowly pull tick out with tweezers MAKE SURE YOU GET ITS HEAD OUT!!!if you dont get the head out the ticks head will still live and crawl into your dog. if this happens then immediatly see a vet
he falls off
you don'tANS2:A tick buries into the skin using barbed mouthparts. If you have plucked the body off the dog but the head remained buried in the skin, you may have some success in removing the head by using fine tweezers. Your dog will generally be better off waiting for the head to fester out like a splinter. If you don't see improvement in a couple days you probably should take the dog to a vet to get it attention. To properly remove a tick, you want to avoid anything that will make it regurgitate back into the dog. Squeezing, pulling, heating, most chemicals will all make the tick regurgitate and potentially start a bad infection in the dog. There's a good tick removal trick at the attached link.
It's possible, especially if a tick has been taking a ride on one dog of the household, walks or falls off, and finds another hairy creature to burrow in. If you live in a tick infested area it's best to inspect your dog DAILY. If ticks carry disease, it is least likely that they pass this on if the tick is removed within 24 hours of having attached itself to the animal. Also watch out for yourself as dogs can carry loose ticks into the house which may end up on you. Best to study online how to remove ticks.
