They Neutralize each other and produce a gas. A way to test this is use an empty bottle of water and put lemon juice in it, then get a balloon and pour 3 grams of baking soda in the balloon. Stretch the balloon over the top of the bottle with out spilling any baking soda in the bottle. Once the two are connected you can empty the balloon into the bottle... when the balloon expands it's showing you that carbon dioxide has been created.
What happens is water and a salt form. Like, for instance, Hydrochloric acid and Sodium hydroxide react...well, these 2 nasty chemicals to form a salt water:
HCl+NaOH->H2O+NaCl! amazing, huh?
This process is called "Neutralisation".
it reacts when dilution of spgit54 secular base action, detectect on it..
A neutralisation reaction takes place and water and salt are formed.
You get a salt and water.
Notice: A salt, it might be any salt not just sodium chloride.
when bases and acids react with each other chemically they form a neutralization reaction
No gas. Acid + base --> salt + water only

the reaction which takes place when an acid reacts with a base is called neutralization reaction. For instance,if HCl reacts with NaOH, the products are NaCl and water. Neutralizing an acid with a base would always give salt and water as the only products.
the acid eats the meatl
neutrilization reaction takes place when acid reacts with base
It actually deepens on the acid if it's sulfuric acid then it could disintegrate

A base will react with an acid.
the reaction in which an acid reacts with a base is called neutralization reaction. in a neutralization reaction salt and water is formed. acid+base=salt+h2o in neutralization reaction anion from acid reacts with a cation from base to form salt for eg;hcl+naoh=nacl+h2os
Salt
Ammonia NH3 behaves as a base when it reacts with an acid because it accepts a proton and becomes NH4+.
when a base is mixed with an acidic solution why does neutralization occurs?
An acid-base reaction is neutralisation. The products are a neutral salt and water.
No gas. Acid + base --> salt + water only
