Antifreeze will leak into the oil & things such as but not limited to: Car overheats, can crack cylinder heads and/or cause worse damage all the way to complete engine failure. Stop driving asap & inspect the oil dipstick for a brownish color in the oil and or water bubbles present.

Looking at the head gasket how do i know it is blown?

You may not see anything on the gasket. Usually a head gasket "blows" because of overheating that causes the head to warp. A gasket can be bad but there should be a visable break very often in the ring around the cylinder.
