Emulsification happens. Emulsification is when it forms an emulsion, which means a colloial suspension of one liquid in another liqiud. Oil floats on top of the water if you let it set becuase water is denser than oil if there are many molecules together. If there is just one molecule of water and one molecule of oil, than the oil would be heavier but since the water molecules are packed closer together, it makes it heavier than oil.
Note: If you put washing detergent and oil together and let it set, they will seperate but if you stir it, they will mix together, making a solution.
nothing, oil won't dissolve in water because like dissolves like and water is polar and oil is nonpolar
It helps to stop it spitting when it is boiling.
cooking oil mixed with salt gets a little bit off and makes it not sticky
Pour the mixture into the filter and since cooking oil is liquid and salt is a solid, salt is going to remain as the residue and cooking oil as the filtrate
I wouldn't recommend it. Vegetable cooking oil is for cooking not for lubrication.
The salt will not dissolve in the oil because oil is nonpolar and salt is polar, and like dissolves like.

With salt. Add a bit more oil, then pour salt into the oil and scrub with a paper towel. The baked on oil will disolve and the salt will not harm the surface of the pan. Repeat as necessary until the baked on oil is gone.
If the cooking oil is the primary fat in the cooking, your cookie will not bind together, and it will be really hard after you've baked it. Quite inedible, too.
