Killer whales have more than one mate, as they are polygamous.
Hugely unlikely. For wild animals, Life is often short and brutal. A species that lost all the remaining breeding opportunities for the remaining individual if the mate was lost is unlikely to become successful.
if a swans mate dies, it will either let himself die, or find another mate. but that only happens on rare occasions. I have a personal experience myself, i live on a lake and there are only two swans and ones mate died after a serious coyote attack. The male swan is in a dreadful mourn and might die soon, if we don't get another female swan.
If your mate dies on wolf quest, you will have to save your game then quit, then go on the same file again. It happens rarely tho... I have only had my mate die once and i did that^^ and it worked out fine. Hope this helps
Yes, but like people, time heals and they are able to find another mate.
yes they do mate for life until there mate dies then go look for another
they would just found another mate to date.
Some do, and some don't, similar to humans. It depends on the species to be more specific. The male fox will often hang around to help raise the young. However, during the next year, some will mate with the same partner again while others will find a different mate. It's all about fitness of the species. typically foxes mate for life. the ones that do, if the male dies, then the female will find another mate, but if the female of the pair dies, then the male will not mate with another female ever again.
Normally, yes.
