You lose control of the steering.
You have blown a crankshaft bearing and seal causing the motor oil in the sump to leak out and also causing the serpentine belt to run erratically, therefore affecting the operation of the steering assist pump (so the steering will become stiff, but not inoperable). I have no idea why this would affect the brake booster.
The steering will pull rapidly from side to side if brakes are pressed hard. Itr will damage steering and possibly other parts.
The power steering pump also provides power for the power brakes.
Just had the front brakes and rotors replaced, rear brakes adjusted, 2004 Kia Sedona, $537 at a Kia dealer. You can get it cheaper from a good local mechanic, maybe $350.00 - $400.00.
The power steering pump provides the pressure for the steering and brakes. Check the p.s. fluid.
The Astro Van power steering and brakes work off the same pupm. Check the pump for fluid. If it's full and the brakes and steering still hard you must replace the pump
Basic hand tools should be enough.

power steering pump
Most likely a tire problem or a bent wheel/rim. There is a chance it is due to worn out components in the steering or front suspension.
Brake rotors or drums need to be machined or replaced. If it causes steering wheel shaking, check front brakes. If happens when applying parking brake look to rear brake problem.
