The steering will pull rapidly from side to side if brakes are pressed hard. Itr will damage steering and possibly other parts.
This can be a warped rotor or tire out of balance. If it only happens when braking it is a warped rotor.
When your rotor warpes it means that it has a wobble in it! From factory they come straight. they usually get warped when they get to hot or a rock gets up there and bends it. If it is really bad it could cause totall break loss!

Check for a worn or warped break rotor on the front driver side. You may need to replace the break pads and rotor.
