When browsing the internet it may sometimes be useful to do a page refresh. When clicked the browser reloads the webpage by reaccesing the web server and the page is the "freshly" redisplayed.
Not understanding "where you are" in the/on the computer; if you press "F5", any page (if relation to Microsoft, &/or some "others") will "Refresh" itself. The outcome could be different, depending on what program/where you are "Refreshing"...
If something get "stuck" or display wrong on your desktop as often if a program stops working you can refresh your desktop. It will re-draw everything on your screen removing anything visual that shouldn't be there.
Right-click then Refresh or go to web address and click on arrow to Refresh or at top of page go to Edit then Refresh or go back one page then forward again.

All you do is go to your desktop and right click the mouse and scroll down and find refresh. Click refresh.

Lower the screen resolution. Right click on desktop and go to 'screen resolution'. (in xp right click and go to properties)
