you will get an error when you start up your computer. it will say NTLDR is missing press ctrl alt del to continue....... so don't do it!!
NTLDR will default to \Windows on the first partition of the first hard drive.

One of you windows operating system important files has been corrrupted,deleted or unreadable.That will be the main cause that your NTLDR cant load. I found it similar to this one. It is worth pointing out that the ntldr file is usually missing due to virus attack. You hould run an antivirus scan as soon as possible after you have repaired on the disk.
"Ntldr" has no extension. Also "hosts" has no extension. "Ntldr" is an executable file, and "hosts" is a text file (but that would be an answer to a different question).

If the system drive is C, then the address is C:\
You can Format all drives. While formatting drives, when you format C Drive all the ntldr files and important OS files will get deleted. Or you can reboot the computer.
