Well, at the periodic Court of Honor, you are awarded the badges that you have earned. If you have made it to a new rank, you get a new patch and a pin is awarded to your parents.

The highest award a Girl Scout may earn in Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is the Girl Scout Gold Award. The highest award an adult in GSUSA may receive is the Thanks Badge. For each level there is an award. It starts with Juniors who earn the Girl Scout Bronze Award, then the Cadettes earn the Girl Scout Silver Award. Then the Seniors/Ambassadors may earn the Girl Scout Gold Award. The process is very long but you know you helped your community and maybe even the world!
As a Boy Scout myself, I would have to say that woodcarving merit badge is the easiest. It has 7 requirements. and is going to be easier if you know how to properly handle a knife, file, chisel, and other wood working tools. Tommy Landers Troop 300
The Boy Scouts of America has no procedures for removing a rank or badge. The primary reference is the Advancement Committee Policies and Procedures (link below).

Hold two Service group Proficiency Badges or replace one of the Service group Proficiency Badges with a Proficiency Badge (Interest) or Proficiency Badge (Pursuit), but the replacement Badge should be service related and the Scout has participated in that service regularly. 3. Have completed a Proficiency Badge (Instructor) or any one of Ambulance Badge (Service), Fireman Badge (Service) or Lifesaver Badge (Service), but this Badge shall not be included in item 2 above. 4. Have participated in a service for three months, the normal requirement is one hour per week.
Service projects that can be done by an Eagle Scout include almost anything that is not a chore or a one-off fundraiser. For instance, creating a garden can be a project but weeding a school lawn may not.
