Ap stands for action points they allow you to master the abelties on your weapons and aomor so you can use them anytime with any job

To get to be a summoner in final fantasy tactics advanced, you need to master 2 white mage abilities and 2 elementalist abilities. To be an elementalist, you need to master 1 fencer and 1 white mage ability. Me personally would prefer an assassin though. To be an assassin, you need 1 sniper and 2 elementalists. To be a sniper, you need to master 2 archer abilities. Hope this helps.
Can you use monsters in Final fantasy tactics advance?
You can't use monsters like using them in battle with you, but you can control them with a Beastmaster (Nu Mou), or morph into them as a Morpher (also Nu Mou). To get Morpher you have to master 5 Beastmaster A-Abilities, and you can't Morph unless you've captured a monster with Hunter (Human), which takes 2 Archer A-Abilities.
