Since cola or (coke) is a carbon soda it should have no extreme effect when mixed with vinegar however, with that said it might depending on brand and amount mixed with the right substances it could have a eruption similar to mixing diet cola and mentos.

The acetic acid reacts with sodium bicarbonate to form carbonic acid. It's really a double replacement reaction. Carbonic acid is unstable. It immediately falls apart into carbon dioxide and water (decomposition reaction). The bubbles are a reaction from the carbon dioxide escaping the solution. Carbon dioxide is heavier than air so it flows like water does when it overflows the container. Its a gas that you exhale (though in small amounts) because its a product of the reactions that keep your body going. What's left is a dilute solution of sodium acetate in water.
