the baking soda mixes with the pepesi and they start to react and it explotes.But if uput sugar on it it starrrts to bubbling. to do this experiment you will need :
pepsi
baking soda
a plastic plate
a big empty soda bottle
and...
sugar.

It activates the active ingrediant in baking powder. Then when you poor it into your baking mix it doesn;t have to attempt to suck all the moisture out of the mix to activate its self :D HAVE FUN BAKING <3
The baking powder reacts to this by letting go of the carbon dioxide. And making bubbles rise. In other words the air or (carbon dioxide) is escaiping to the surface.
