The color we see any object, is the color that is not absorbed by the object. It is the color that it reflects ( in essence rejects) The color we see is not truly a part of the object, any more than an object that we see in a mirror is part of the mirror. The true color is the color the object absorbs and is the contrast of the color seen. Therefore oranges are blue (acttally bluish green :)) Grass is not green it is orange etc etc...
