If it's plugged in when you do, something will normally short out, basically breaking the keyboard. If it isn't plugged in, you can normally let it dry out for a few days and it should be fine.

∙ 12y agoIt can cause short-circuiting, in the event of liquid bring spilled on your keyboard you should immediately unplug the keyboard and let it dry completely before attpting to use it again.
