The Boston Massacre is considered the start of the American revolution. Colonists who wanted freedom from Britain and had heard of a recent brawl between a Redcoat (British soldier) and a colonist. Angered they decided to throw snowballs at an off-duty Redcoat. Colonists saw this and joined throwing snowballs and shouting insults at the Brittish. The Redcoats were angered. Soon, other Redcoats saw this and came to join. The colonists had gotten far too roudy and a British officer Captain Thomas Preston had told his Redcoats to fire. After the smoke cleared four were dead and others injured. One died later on. One of the victims was Crispus Attucks, a black man.
