Harsh Winter conditions, Native Americans, lack of supplies, lack of women, no crops, The starving time took place during the winter of 1620 many of the settlers died due starvation, lack of preparedness for the winter, and constant conflicts with the natives. They were actually going to leave Jamestown, however on their way leaving through the port, they met the ship arriving with fresh supplies and settlers and John Smith, who convinced them to stay and survive. Which they eventually did and thrived off of tobacco.
There were definitely a lot of hardships but some would be:
