At the base was a subway station and parking garage, in the towers were banks/stockbrokers, a daycare center, restaurant's, an observation deck to see 180 degrees of NYC, a gift shop, and world corporate headquarters for several major businesses. I visited the towers in 1997 and they were not only a landmark for the nation, but they were evidence of what could be done.
