We have many different experiences; from the slamming of doors on us; to those who respectfully listen and converse with us.

Quite often we find that we can really get people thinking about what they've been taught by their own religion. Some get upset that they've been paying into their religious system all their lives, and haven't really gotten their money's worth in the way of spiritual food. We're conducting well over 10 million free Bible studies in people's homes as we speak. They're telling us they're learning things they never knew before. Some of those will write a letter of resignation to their church; providing reasons why they're leaving and withholding further contributions. The clergy gets a little irate with us and gives a sermon about 'JWs are a cult - - avoid them!' Of course, now some more people get curious; and the cycle continues.

Eventually many people come to realize that even though they don't believe what we teach; yet we're the only ones visiting them at their homes with Bible open.

But there are many more variety of experiences.

That might be a question best asked to someone who has dealt with a Witness. The view of Witnesses about others is we love to share our beliefs with others but the degree to which that happens is up to them. In social settings we are cautious to not put ourselves in situations that would a conflict of Bible principles.

If one comes to your door please ask them specific questions you would like answered.

Why were Jehovahs witnesses sent to concentration camps?

Jehovah's Witnesses refused to conform to Nazi ideology and refused to cooperate with Hitler's political aims and military endevors and and because of this were targeted for the harshest of treatments. Historian Brian Dunn identifies 3 basic reasons why the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses were incompatible with Nazism:1. The Witnesses's opposition to racism in any form2. The international scope of the religion, implying international equality3. The Witnesses's political neutrality & their refusal to swear allegiance to the state

Why do people hate Jehovahs witnesses arnt they suppose to help you?

People hate the Jehovah's Witnesses because they were "destined" to, should we say. In the Bible it says that the people of the true religion would be hated and discriminated against. It's fulfilling Bible prophecy. And by the way, the New World Translation of the Bible is not altered to fit Jehovah's Witnesses' beliefs. There are many credible resources that aren't even part of their religion that studied the translation and agree that it is the most UN-ALTERED form of the original manuscripts. Hope this helps. :) Jehovahs' witnesess encourage people to study using their own bible if they are more confortable

Why jehovahs witness not to participate scouting?

While scouting offers young people ways to learn new skills and values, it also has certain beliefs and practices that are not compatible with the teachings of the Bible as observed by Jehovah's Witnesses. For example, Jehovah's Witnesses do not salute the flag. They view it as idolatry. Scouting requires an oath and the pledge of allegiance, Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe you should give an oath to anyone but Almighty God. Scouting develops citizenship advocacy and patriotism, Jehovah's Witnesses remain neutral on political matters. Scouting employs a troop chaplain, Jehovah's Witnesses do not participate in interfaith. It is easy to see that scouting provides many positive benefits for their members. However, as adherence to Bible principles is a goal of Jehovah's Witnesses (even in small matters), participating in scouting would put them in many compromising positions so it is advisable to stay away from it.

What has been the experience of Jehovah's Witnesses with others that do not share the same beliefs or practices?

This would vary greatly on the social interaction. Most times there are pleasant and respectful parties on both sides. Rarer times things can get heated or even argumentative if tempers are not held in check by either party involved. Jehovah's Witnesses are instructed to be peaceable at all times, but they are imperfect just like everyone else, and sometimes an individual will not follow this instruction.
