The greatest achievement of the RSPCA is probably aiding into the enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act 2006, as it reinforced the requirements laid down by the Animal Welfare Act 1911 and gave both the police and RSPCA the ability to arrest on suspicion of animal cruelty, rather than only being able to arrest if they witnessed the cruelty taking place.
