Giraffes must have long necks to adapt to there environment. Long necks help to get the leaves up tall in the trees where no animals cqn reach high enough to grab the leaves or fruit up in the branches. Long tongues help to grip there food while they grab it from the trees. By wrapping there long tongues around the leaves they can reach higher than there neck can reach as there tongues can are so long they can clean out there ears with them. I am training to be a zoologist and we have learnt about these things already. Giraffes also live on fruits and berries as well as leaves. A calm environment can keep the giraffe living for a long period of time as they have no stress. Giraffes are naturally calm animals and are suited to that environment.
