Computer detective isn't a job that exists. I recommend writing and literature classes so you can fantasize about whatever you imagine this mysterious profession doing.
There are various free high school diploma courses and programs that can be found on the computer or traditionally. Centennial high school offers a free high school diploma test that can be taken at home and on the computer.
High school courses don't mean sh1t. College courses are what matters.
I do not know of any police department that requires any specific high school courses to become a detective. That rank is generally awarded as a promotion to police offiers who have demostrated metit to their superriors or who have passed a promotional examination. Some police departments allow you to get a job as a police officer with a high school diploma, but many others require 2+ years of college or 2 years of millitary.

I would suggest taking all English (grammar) courses you can, Journalism, computer classes and any creative writing courses they may have to offer. I would also advise getting involved in your high school newspaper and/or yearbook committee.
High school courses don't matter, none of them will count in college.

High school is the most obvious choice, but if one is of age where high school is not an option, community colleges offer a wide variety of courses for adults.
I'm assuming art, drawing, apparel design, business classes, computer applications, financial math, sewing, etc. it really depends on your high school.
High school courses can be very useful and are indeed a valid version of a high school education. A valid education is based on how you learn best.
i recomend the computer classes and building classes in case your kid breaks the computer if you have one
