Competent attorneys need to be conversant with a broad variety of fields, although generally they do not have to be experts (except in the law). A general course of studies with a good grounding in science, basic math, civics and other social studies would be the most useful background.

Don't forget PE and sports. Law students and working lawyers are under a lot of stress, and good exercise habits are essential to dealing with stressful conditions.

In high school and while you are pursuing your Bachelor's degree you should take a breadth of subjects to expose yourself to a wide variety of fields. Law school does not require any particular subject as a major in college or as a focus in high school. Many who go to law school do major, in college, in political science or criminal justice, but it is not required or even necessary.
