TSH - tells the thyroid to make more thyroxine- increases metabolism
Growth hormone- Increases uptake of amino acids into cells, promotes growth via Insulin like growth factors.
Prolactin makes the breasts produce milk.

∙ 8y agoThere are the anterior and posterior pituitary ... the anterior pituitary secretes the ASH, ACTH, Prolactin and GH...the posterior pituitary secretes the ADH and Oxytocin

The anterior pituitary stores hormones such as TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone), GH (Growth hormone), FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone), LH (lutenizing hormone), and Prolactin.
The posterior pituitary gland stores hormones oxytocin and ADH (antidiuretic hormone).

However, their actions are different in the sexes.
In males:
Leutenizing hormone in males stimulates testes to secrete Testosterone.
Follicle stimulating Hormone brings about Spermatogenesis.
