Breed it dosent realy matter. IF you do want a certain breed i would prefer the Quarter horse or a work horse because they are already natruly docile(calm). but when it comes to chosing male or female i would do a gelding( a nutered/casturaded male) because they wont have the stallion instinct if they are gelded before they are 6mnths old. Mares are naturaly highstrung.
There is no certain breed of horse that would be ideal for a first time horse owner. The best type of horse a first time buyer should look for is one that has some experience, is tempermental and easy to control and handle.
i think it would teach the kid to care
A horse needs to belive in you. If you first see a horse he or she won't listen to you the first time. It takes a quite long time for a horse to listen to you and do what you say.
Quarterhorses are generally the best for first time horse owners. But it all depends on the horse. They are generally mellow and easy keepers (don't require much of special supplements, going lame easy, ect.) They are very sturdy.
It's not about what kind of horse you get, but how experienced the horse is. If you're not a beginner, but you've never had a horse before, your best chances of keeping one for a long enough time would be to get a well trained horse that's laid back, but will willingly work for you.
you can walk round in a lunge sized circle as you would lead a horse in-hand normally. and over a period of time increase the distance between you and the horse. when you first begin lunging the horse, use word aids that you usually do for lunging (walk on, trotting on etc) and coax the horse to do the action like you normally would when you are leading in hand. this is only one of many methods. lunging in tack is advisable, because it is easier to break a horse in when it already used to the fell of tack. :)
Some horses that would be good for beginners would be: The quarter horse- one of the most popular breeds in the USA The appaloosa The pinto The connemara Hope that helped! It does not have to do with the breed of the horse!! take this from a VERY EXPERIENCED RIDER! the best horse for a beginner would be a horse that is atleast 20 year-old. why? because a 20 year old horse ( a horse on the older side) is more mellow and is less likely to bolt or take off. so if you are planning on doing lessons, ask for a older horse that has been doing lessons for a long time, hope that helped you!
The amount of time would depend on how fast the barn is burning, where the fire is located, and how long it has been burning. That being said it is always best to get a horse out of a burning barn as fast as possible.
I don't know. I haven't been broken in.
in my oppinion there is no deffinit answer because it depends on if you have alot of land or what if you have land then all you need is time to pet the horse and feed it if you have a horse stall then you need time to feed it pet it and clean its crap up so that's the best i can say i want a horse but i don't think ill have the time. please help :( i want a horse but i don't think ill have the time. please help :( you make the time to look after it if you love it just like you would your mom or pop if they were sick!
For a first person shooter, it would have to be Doom. but the best third person series would have to be resident evil
well i currently ride a 16.2hh thoroughbred she is gorgeous, the obvious problem is that they are super super fast, hense the word thoroughbred, you can calm them down with the right patience and time.
