If the planet Earth were to be destroyed (end), it could be in two ways:
1) collision with another large object such as an asteroid
2) vaporization by the Sun expanding, or by the Sun going supernova
In either of these scenarios, the eruption of a super-volcano might be one result of damage to the crust (by impact or gravity), but would be a relatively insignificant part of the total destruction.
If human civilization were being destroyed, super-volcanoes would be one possibility, as they generate ash and gases that could produce a 'global winter' or possibly a relatively-brief Ice Age that would include mass extinctions of plants, animals, and people.
Mount Vesuvius .
yellow stone park in usa has the worlds most powerful super volcano There was another supervolcano at Lake Toba. It erupted 73,000 years ago and wiped the human race to only 100,000. The most powerful volcano(s) in the history of the Earth is the Siberian traps that erupted 250 million years ago. They were far more powerful than any supervolcano. By they are long extinct.
volcano name= ETNA location= ITALY active time= 3500 YEARS
Mauna Loa which is the largest volcano on our planet broke the subduction plate when it erupted in 1984. Mauna Loa is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and has erupted 33 times sense 1843.
Mt. Vulcan. It is once known as the bigggest volcano in the world. When it erupted, a continent, Australia, was born. Did you know that volcano was first called avatain(what a stupid name)? It was to remembered Vulcan.
Mount Vesuvius .
If a "super volcano" erupted, depending on how big you are actually talking, the immediate area of the volcano would be engulfed in ash, rock, and of course lava. If you survived that the ash cloud would kill you. If the eruption was big enough, the ash cloud could cover half the world or even more and it could cause an ice age to happen in the future that could kill off the rest of the human race if they were not prepared.
Mount. Krakatoa (not sure if it's spelled right).
If you include super-volcanoes, Yellowstone.

The most recent volcanic eruption occurred July 10, 214 at the Zhupanovsky volcano. Ash clouds were detected at approximately six kilometers altitude.
Ojos del Salado in Chile. It's height is 6887m. It last erupted 10,000 years ago.
One of only a dozen "super volcanos" in the world. When super volcanos explode it changes life on earth. The last time one went off was Mt. Toba 70,000 years ago.In more technical terms, the Yellowstone volcano is a caldera. Most Caldera volcanoes start out as stratovolcanoes, but this one appears to be an exception.
Most of the volcanoes in the world, including composite volcanoes, are considered active. Scientists consider any volcano that has erupted in the last 10,000 years active.
