However:
They are only really useful in older women.
They may miss some cancer.
X-ray exposure can cause cancer in high enough doses. Did you ever notice the x-ray tech wearing a lead apron and scoot out of the room during exposure?

∙ 10y agoThere are not many effects which can come out of having a chest x-ray other than finding what the doctors were looking for. The only thing that even comes out of X-rays is low radiation exposure which proves to almost never be an issue.
