menopause
No, since they don't have a uterus, fallopian tubes, or any of the other equipment that cause women to have their period.
Missed period tubes are tied
If a woman gets her tubes tied (tubal ligation) she will not be able to get pregnant, but she will still menstruate (have her period). In a tubal ligation the fallopian tubes trhat carry the egg from the ovary to the uterus are cut, but the ovaries themselves aren't removed. Since the ovaries are still producing hormones, the walls of the uterus will continue to cycle through its changes, and a period will occur.
A woman's period is tied to the growth of lining in the womb, which is controlled by hormones produced by the ovaries. Even though the egg cannot reach the womb after the tubes are tied, the hormones controlling the cycle are still produced, so the cycle should still be regular.
hello
I wouldn't worry just yet, did you have it done during/after labour? if so, and you've got a small baby and breastfeeding it will be that that is causing weird cycles. Some women have their tubes tied then find out they were infact pregnant BEFORE the tubes were tied (which is just majorly bad luck!) and sometimes tubals can go wrong and not be put on properly (bad surgeon) Having your tubes tied doesnt necessarily interfere with your cycles. but it can cause stress which can make your period late. women who havent had tubals often skip periods or have late periods with no good reason your only safe bet is to take a pregnancy test. and if its positive contact yoru doctor to make sure its not eptopic (in the tube) goodluck!
Since the sperm are held inside the uterus and fallopian tubes, and are viable for a few days, it is technically possible to get pregnant at any time, particularly since the start of ovulation is also variable.
Yes, you can get pregnant after your tubes are tied. I had my tubes tied 6 years ago during the birth of my son, I had a c-section. SURPRISE , I had signs of being pregnant. I thought oh this is not possible, Its possible !!!!
I had a white discharge and I have not since tieing my tubes what does that mean.. And I know I am ovulating.
You can get pregnant at any time of the month. But right after your period you have a less chance of getting pregnant, and right before your period because the egg needs to be in the tubes to be fertilized so if its the day before your period its not in the tubes.
