Hi, I had the same problem with my car just after I bought it. It's an older model with a carby. I was told because of the heat of the engine it makes it harder to start the car after it has been driven at normal operating temperature. You shouldn't have trouble jump starting it, or just give it a lot of gas when you are starting it after driving. If you have a carburettor, you have to be one with it. Hope this helps
Need more info.
If it turns over, could be a bad cam or crank sensor
faulty loose wiring in the starter circuit, bad starter
bad ECM
No crank/no start
Bad battery
wiring/starter
Bad ecm
I have 98 4 cyliner automatic Toyota Camry. When I'm coming to a red light, and when I'm braking, the car begins to shake, and the shake doesn't stop even when the car is stopped. Howeverif i switch the transmission from drive to neutral, the car stops shaking. If I switch back to Drive or reverse, it car starts to shake again. What could be wrong?
sounds like the choke is not working correctly
It sure seems like fuel would be a good place to start.
Your timing could be off, Your starter could be going bad, or you could have a low battery. The battery is the simplest to start with. You could go to Auto Zone and they will check your battery for you. Also talk to them about your starter and your timing. Low battery, faulty alternator, worn stater, corroded connection
Could be a bad ignition switch
I dunno what the problem is but I have it and can't figure it out...I'm thinking I might have a damaged ligament or something might be wrong with my ovary....
broken drive belt
i don't know lol
antiteft will need to be disabled.
SEE IF IT STARTS WITH A JUMP START ..IF SO THE BATTERY COULD BE WORN OUT OR JUST A DIRTY CONNECTION FROM THE BATTERY TO THE STARTER
start with fuel filter could be clogged, could be faulty fuel pump.
Could be a plugged fuel filter, time for a good tune up.
faulty battery connection, Cold weather..wrong spark plugs..could be a number of things. Nthing major
Could be bad airflow sensor or (MAS) engine will start normally in safe mode, but then when it tries to read sensor it could rich/lean out depending on breakage.
status i think. but i could be wrong.
The shifter linkage is loose or the drive gear is worn out.
Could be starter drive not engaging xcompletely Could be a bad starter drive Could be a chipped or broken tooth on ring gear (fly wheel) Try turning engine manually (large socket on crankshaft) and then try to start - -if vehicle does turn over probably a chipped or broken tooth - if not, possible above starter problems
