No, cold water is piped into the hot water tank and is heated by electricity or gas, it then flows out to the hot water taps.
Taps need not be made with metal.... But most taps are because they don't melt if hot water passes through............
Check the upstairs taps for blockage in aerator or internally.
As you are aware an HSS tap is so hardened to cut thread in different materials. When hardness of HSS increases lead to sudden failure as it will be brittle. If we cut a thread in its first pass the tap will experience heavy force lead to breakage of tap. In order to reduce cutting pressure the taps are so designed to share the cutting depth hence cutting force. Hence the taps are of First, Second and final cut taps marked with one, two and three rings on its shank to identify it.
fixed taps and variable resistance
if someone put in a hot water tank they may have the lines switched.
That water is used in the cold taps in your bathroom and for the heated water you use. Don't drink from these taps.
If 2 taps fill 2/5 of the tank in 20 minutes then each tap fills 1/5 of the tank in that time. 3/5 of the tank is still to be filled. One tap therefore takes 3/5÷ 1/5 x 20 = 60 minutes = 1 hour to fill the rest of the tank.
Assuming you are talking about bathroom taps or washroom taps, they are used for ablution (wudhu) which is necessary before praying to Allah in Namaz, or to even touch the Holy Quran.
A lack of pressure to push the water up.
3 minutes and 40 seconds.
It can go into a tee in the plumbing or into one of the 1/4" taps on the tank tee if you have one. It really doesn't matter how you do it as long as the switch is close to the tank.
Turn off the valve & tie up the ballcock...
They film it live but don't usually do anything else special.
Per Mel Brooks in the YF commentary, he did bits and pieces of it, but most of the taps were added in during post-production (in otherwords, someone else- presumably a professional tap dancer- did them).

One can find sink taps at most large home improvement stores such as Home Depot and Lowes. They can also be found at big name retailers such as Walmart and Kmart.
