Most likely cause is a bad siren. It's under the fender/wheelwell on the right side. Ask a dealer, they will probably confirm this. I think they run $150 and you might be able to replace it your self if you're handy.

There is no Select button on an XBOX 360 controller. There is a "Start" button, a middle home button (The large "X") and a "Back button".
