Running away is not a legal act, regardless of age. In Canada, a 17-year-old who runs away without parental consent may be considered a minor in need of protection under the law. They may be returned to their parents/guardians or placed in a temporary care facility until their situation is resolved.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Criminal history checks are run through NCIC and are not to be allowed outside law enforcement and must be for an active criminal investigation. You are not even allowed to run criminal histories and give them to your court, they have to run their own.
