There is no coin called an "Indiana head" nickel. There are, however, Indian head nickels. These coins were made from 1913 to 1938, but a design flaw caused the dates to wear off quickly. Unfortunately dateless Indian head nickels don't have any collector value and usually sell for 15 or 20 cents in a dealer's grab box.

Indian Head Nickels (with a buffalo on the back) were only minted from 1913 to 1938, so I have to assume you have something else -- perhaps a Liberty Head Nickel (with a big "V" on the back)? A well-worn 1891 Liberty Head Nickel is worth about $3.00

My Indian head Buffalo nickel does not have a date how do I know how much it is worth?

The Indian head Buffalo nickel missing a date is usually considered a damaged coin, and its value can be lower than a typical Buffalo nickel. The worth would depend on other factors like condition, mintmark, and any identifiable features on the coin. Consult with a professional coin dealer or appraiser for an accurate assessment.

A heavily worn Liberty Head Nickel is worth maybe $1 unless it is one of the more scarce coins of the series, I would suggest you take it to a coin shop and let them look at it just to be sure.
