usually she will produce enough milk if being fed properly. depending on the size of your dog and the size of the litter you need to feed extra and it's helpful to supplement with cottage cheese and offer all the water she will drink. If the litter is larger than 6 pups it can be helpful to offer supplemental feedings to the puppies by buying Esbilac at your local Petco, Petsmart etc...and following the feeding instructions. A mother dog can also stop milk production if she gets eclampsia which is a life threatening condition to her as well as her pups....If her nipples are hard, hot, or your not sure if they are normal or not I would contact your vet.
Puppies do not produce milk. Full-grown dogs do so, but not puppies.
older dogs seem to tolerate milk, but for puppies cows milk is 100 percent fatal if ingested. the safest type og milk even for old dogs or puppies is goat milk.
Actually it is more likely that your dog is about to have puppies - if she had already had the puppies her belly would be smaller than before. Dogs will start to leak milk a few days prior to delivering puppies; this is nature's way of making sure there is enough milk to feed the puppies.
Dogs start to produce milk when they need to feed their puppies. If your dog has milk but has no puppies, the puppies are probably inside the mother. You just need to be patient. Hope this helped at least a little bit! ;D

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but I know that a dog replacement milk is a milk that can be use to give to puppies when the mom can't produce enough milk or when the mom is no longer alive. Puppies are not allowed to drink milk except for this milk.
