I have never heard of this happening, but should that happen, it would be the duty of the prosecution or defense attorney to call it to the judge's attention immediately. If that should fail, there are enough people present, including the skipped juror, to say something. It would be extremely rare that all of these circumstances for such an omission would come into play.
