The WBCs can be easily isolated from the RBCs. This process can be done with the help of centrifugation technique. y the use of ficol/percol one can centrifuge the blood sample at 10000 rpm for 15 min. and he Will get the 3 layers in centrifuge tube. the first lower layer is of RBC and middle one of WBC and the upper one contains the blood platelets, plasma, antibodies, growth factors etc.

Then you've got a big problem, or malaria (which is a big problem).

White cells killing red cells would meant that either something on the red cells is recognised as foreign (eg. Blood group antigens).

In most cells it could mean a viral infection, but I don't think viruses can infect RBCs since they have no nucleus...

They are both in the Blood Plasma, which is the liquid of the Blood Stream, if that is what you mean. They do not 'fuse' or Chemically combine. They are their own respective cells.
