If scientists ever did find a 450 foot wooden ark at 4000 metres on Mount Ararat, they would eximine its provenance, carbon-date samples from it, examine its construction and establish what it was used for and why it came to be on Mt Ararat. That is what science does. If it were proven to be either the ark of Utnapishtim or that of Noah, then it would cause us to reevaluate world history. To be fair, this is only speculation, based on two of several possible legends, and is unlikely to happen. We do not have to plan for the redefinition of science and religion on the basis of speculation.
