Not a smart thing to do, I quit cold turkey for Bi-Polar, and Depression and I regret being off them. Been there; done that. You become a popular breakfast cereal..... "Fruit Loops." You can only be bi-polar if the chemistry in your head becomes imbalanced; your meds are supposed to re-balance your scrambled head. Going without your meds is only good when you are appearing before a Social Security Evaluation Board to get on SSI, but not really recommended. Bi-polar IS A DIRECT RESULT FROM BIOLOGICAL PARENTS PROCREATING THESE CHILDREN AT CERTAIN, PREDICTABLE, AVOIDABLE TIMES. The only problem is that people never heard of this Theory, or the Genetic Law behind it This same Law affects EVERY child born.
Generally a very bad idea.
Go get help and start on your meds.
Get the best medical treatment that you can manage, do everything you are told, and don't give up. You should be aware of a few things. Psych meds take a long time to work sometimes. Don't expect immediate miracles. Also, it may take several tries to find the right combination of meds and adjust the doses. Finally, DO NOT GO OFF THE MEDS without talking to the doctor. Bipolar Disorder is treatable, but sometimes if you go off the medications they will not work reliably if you begin taking them again. Many folks with bipolar disorder live relatively normal lives, but getting there can be a lot of work. Considering the alternative, however, it's well worth the trouble.
If you get sick, they will prescribe you meds.
Yes, bipolar disorder is a treatable illness that can be controlled quite well with medication and therapy.

no
Mood swings are a symptom of bipolar; but that does not definitively mean you are bipolar; your best bet is to go to a doctor. There are times when you may have symptoms but not the disease.
first off i am bipolar. my effects were major mood swings. happy to sad to mad and back to happy. i would get anger outbursts. my major thing was hitting walls. i once broke a window. i was constantly depressed. i would come home from school and go straight to bed and not get up till the next morning. i would listen to sad music. i would just not care anymore. so now i take a bunch of meds and am now working part time and living a normal life
Don't eat--then go to an "Urgent Care" to get some meds/prescription.
Bipolar mania is when you are very hyperactive and extreme then go into depression. Cycling is the behavioral cycle of these episodes.
If you stop it all at once you will crash hard . You will have some severe physical and mental/emotional symptoms . Never go off your meds without the reccomendation or supervision of your doctor .
Yes you can in fact go to a treatment center for a bipolar disorder. You will have to see what is available in your area.
