Eventually the joint will separate and you will be unable to drive the vehicle. It could put you in a dangerous situation.
Eventually it will fail and either seize or fall apart.
Take it to a mechanic
take it to the shop and fix it
The transmission will have to be disassembled.
Don't try to fix a constant velocity joint, better off just replacing it with a new or reconditioned one.
