The head will remain inside, and it is very likely that it will actually plant tick babies inside your body. You would have to go to the doctor and remove it; don't try and pry out any part of a tick that is still in your body.

"the area will most probably infect..itch . It is very easily removed by putting dish washing liquid right on the tick, and wait a minute . The tick should back out, because it will not be able to breathe!! It is much easier than using a tweezer because the head can still come off inside your skin . Best to use an anti insect preparation with DEET. It won't hurtcha!!!", so says one contributor.

I have lots of experience with ticks. Once they have been attached for a while, they glue their heads in. The folk remedies, like described above, don't work unless the tick has just burrowed in. The best thing is to use a tick remover. Even then, you might not get the head out. Not to worry, your body will treat it as a splinter and fester it out within a few days.

Do ticks make your body itchy?

no, only the ticks head goes inside your body and drink you blood.Ticks do make a hole in your skin and lay eggs but it is not deep enough to reach your body but sometimes ticks dig to much and blood comes out and the tick leaves your skin leaving her babies behind and die.some ticks that stick there head in your body have lime disease.lyme disease is when if you dont get treated for about 2 to 3 weeks could end in death.you would notice lyme disease when you have a big rash where you got bit by the tic.dont freak out lyme disease docters can help.lyme disease is very noticeabel.if you have lyme disease and you dont know it just go to a docter and have the tick that bit you examined to make sure. The ticks that have lyme disease are a biege on the back and a dark colour on the front.

Do ticks grow a new body?

If a ticks body is pulled off, and nothing but the head remains, then the tick is dead and therefor cannot heal or regenerate any part of it's body. Hard ticks (if still alive, of course) are able to regenerate sensory organs and limbs. It's necessary for the head of a tick to be removed from the hosts body (particularly if the host is a person), because it's very possible to cause Lime Disease, or other numerous diseases. That whole "ticks are able to go into your heart, regenerate it's body, and eat you from the inside out" thing is an untrue myth.
