This depends on the state laws in which you live. In Alabama once you have a child you are considered an adult. This does not matter if you are twelve or seventeen, if you have one kid you are automatically emancipated in the laws eyes. A good idea would be to see what your state laws are on child birth and/or emancipation.

When is a parent no longer legally responsible for a child in NY?

In New York, a parent's legal responsibility for a child typically ends when the child turns 21 or when the child becomes legally emancipated before that age. It can also end if the child gets married, joins the military, or is declared legally emancipated by a court.

If you have had problems in the past like cutting and your parents are moving now you are 16 and want to stay with your boy friend and his parents can you still get emancipated?

You can apply for emancipation, but judges rarely grant it unless the child is neglected or abused. Moving is not a reason to get emancipated. Also, if it is known that you will shack up with the boyfriend, then you will definitely not succeed in getting emancipated. you are over 16 you are legally entitled to move out after age 16 i know this from talk with cops Internet and experience

Having a child does not automatically emancipate a minor. Emancipation involves a legal process where a minor becomes responsible for their own welfare. In many jurisdictions, becoming a parent does not automatically grant emancipation.

Can a grandparent keep child support after a child moves out in CO?

The child support goes to the one who have custody. If the grandparent still do and the child has just moved out temporarily, they will still get it. If the child is under 18 and has moved they also still get it unless the child is emancipated. If the child is 18 the child support generally end but it depends on the state laws and/or what you have written in the child support agreement.

Are teen fathers automatic emancipated since they have to pay child support?

No and neither are the mothers who also have to support them. You don't have to be emancipated to get a job. In some cases if the father can not pay, the mother can petition the court for his parents to pay in his place until he is 18.

Yes until she is emancipated. It might also be a good idea, since you allowed her to move, to see to that the child support goes directly to her and not to the mother unless she moved with them.

Can you get emancipated if your parents kicked you out and you're staying with your aunt and your parents won't help you change to a closer school?

Emancipation laws vary by state, but the aunt would probably have a better chance of being awarded custody/guardianship (and then she could also request that the parents be ordered to pay child support), then you would have of being emancipated.
