Not knowing what vehicle you have, I will take a stab at this and say that a faulty crank sensor could give you those symptoms.
Diesel fuel injection injects fuel into air that is hot enough to ignite the fuel. Spark ignition takes a fuel air mixture mixed and then drawn into the cylinder before ignition, then ignites with an electric spark.
wasdriving a 2004 kia optima just shut off changed fuel pump and found out no spark so no spark no fuel any suggestions
are you getting fuel past the fuel filter. do you have spark at the spark plugs
If getting fuel and spark, then need compression and air.
car has spark and fuel it will crank over but will not start
Coil makes electricity and the spark plug wire delivers the electricity to the spark plug where it arc's across the spark plug and ignites the fuel in the cylinder.
Probably missing fuel or spark. If it has spark I'd suspect the fuel pump.
Does it turn over? Does it have spark? Does it have fuel? Does it turn over? Does it have spark? Does it have fuel?
If your KIA Sportage won't start but has a spark and fuel, it could be a the fuel pump relay or possibly a fuse.
Engine needs fuel, compression and spark. You are missing one or more of those.
No but, if the crank sensor goes bad you lose the fuel pump and spark.
Spark or Ignition Fuel Air So spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap. Fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel cleaner. New air filter.
