Well an eagle or an hawk or other animals probably ate the other ones
they are born out of an egg. just like every other turtle.
You can place them in a cardboard box and line them with vermiculite. Keep the temperature at 73 to 78 degrees. Do not rotate the eggs as this will kill the embryo in the egg. They will hatch on their own in three to four months.
how long does it take for turtle eggs to hatchanswer - about 6 to 9 weeksIt takes 60-90 days for a snapping turtle egg to hatch. usually August or September. If you find an egg in the water and it has been there more than an hour it won't hatch. if you find eggs on the road or the ground (if a mother turtle was hit by a car for example) as long as the eggs are not damaged , bury them 4-6" in a warm place and leave them. If you dig up a turtle nest, leave it alone.
Oh, dude, alligator snapping turtle eggs are not for sale! It's illegal to buy or sell them because these little guys are protected by law. So, if you're thinking of starting a turtle egg omelette business, you might want to reconsider. Like, maybe stick to regular chicken eggs instead.
throw it away
yes my turtle lay egg alone rashed
sand+egg= turtle
turtle=egg+sand
Each type of turtle has its own threat. Some of the biggest dangers include egg poaching, being killed for their shells, getting entangled in fishing gear, being killed for their meat, global warming and pollution of the water they live in. However, all turtles are threatened with extinction; at least half the turtle population.
Yes turtle egg need the sand to hatch.
This is my opinon but I think it basically depends on what the turtle or tortise feels, or if their hiding, trying to hunt, or the time of the day. ☼I hope i helped you out thanks for taking the time to read this.♥
"Snapping turtles are hatched from eggs so they do not have umbilical cords." I know they are hatched from eggs, but I saw a baby turtle that had something like an umbilicus in the middle of its bottom shell. So I looked it up on Google and found a few references to the umbilicus of a baby turtle. I imagine the umbilical cord would be a connection to something inside the egg- the yolk? which nourishes the baby. But I haven't found these details yet. Elizabeth A. Feigon
