if you put to much oil in your car and drive it the exess oil has got to go somewhere and most of the time that meens a busted gasket so i recomend draining some of the oil out first.
Too much oil is just as bad a too little oil. The crankshaft will make contact with the excess oil and whip it into a froth. This froth will be made up of oil and air. Air is a horrible lubricant and will cause damage the rings and bearings from a lack of sufficient lubrication. Drain the excess oil out immediately.
Yes, a person can put to much oil in a car. It usually will not hurt a car, but the excess oil can cause smoking if it gets on the motor.
Depends on what car which you fail to list.
That would depend on the make and model of the car.
when you take the car out of drive and put in park the drive mechanism or transmission does not put as much load on the engine so it runs faster.
Remove oil from pan or go for an oil change. Too much oil can blow out the gaskets.
first drive your car around the block to warm the oil then drive up on car ramps slide underneath the car you will see the drain pan with a head of a bolt sticking out loosen that up and take it out the oil will drain then remove your oil filter fill the new oil filter with oil put a dab around the ring of the oil filter then screw it back on put 4 quarts of oil in the car start it drive it down the ramps shut it off let it sit for 10 minutes check the oil level top it off if neccessary and your done
where do you put transmission oil in a standard car?
you put too much oil in, it is burning the oil.
Add 1 quart. Check your oil stick, and go from there.
about 3.5L including the oil Filter if you are still not sure then after the oil change drive the car to get it to the working temperature the stop the engine for 5-10 min and then check the oil dip-stick . hope that works
Put more oil in it.
It should be fine, but you will need to drain the oil out to the correct level on the dipstick.
