Acrylic nails are fake nails attached to your natural nails with strong acrylic, giving the appearance of long, healthy talons that any woman would be proud to flash around town. Acrylic nails can be a little expensive at the nail salon, so follow these instructions to apply them at home:PreparationPrepare your natural nails by trimming them short and giving them a quick manicure to remove polish, smooth edges and remove any dead skin. After doing this, roughen your natural nails with a filing block and set out your materials. Attach an acrylic nail to the tip of your natural nail and then pour some liquid acrylic into your small dish. Liquid acrylic is strong smelling stuff, so be sure to open a window and turn on a fan before pouring it out so you don't get a headache. Dip your acrylic brush into the liquid acrylic, wipe the brush on the edge of the bottle to remove any excess and then dip the brush in the powdered acrylic. Smooth the mixture of liquid and powdered acrylic over your natural nail up to and on to the acrylic nail, repeating until you've built up a copy of the natural curve of your nail. Be careful not to get the acrylic mixture on your cuticles, because this can cause mold or fungus to form.FinishingAfter applying all ten nails, let them dry for ten minutes. When they are dry, trim and file the acrylic nails to the shape you want and then scrub them with soapy water to remove any nail dust. Your cuticles have just been exposed to some very drying chemicals, so make sure to put a good coat of nail oil on them to seal in moisture. Over the years I have used every commercial "nail hardener" product out there, and none of them made my nails significantly harder. Getting acrylic nails is the only real solution I have found. After the initial treatment, they are only about $15 every 2-3 weeks, so you can have gorgeous nails without spending a lot of money. If you mean what is a good way to make my nail polish last longer: It's very limited. You can put a fresh layer of top coat or clear polish over your nails every day, and let it dry completely. This will help, but normally nail polish on your natural nails chips after 3-5 days, anyway. Again, acrylic nails will help here as well. Nail polish adheres to acrylic much better and will last at least 4 weeks on acrylic nails. i am told that no is it not because you lose the natural grease on more of the inside of your nail.

When taking off acrylics make sure that you do it profesinally or use a specific nail remover. XD they can if you dont do it right, is suggest doing it profffesionaally, and yes they can really hurt if they rip off, cuz they will rip ur atuall nail off aswell.

It's stronger than gel and lasts longer than wraps.
