It might not mean anything at all, he/she might be having n 'off' day or just a rough time, try and talk to him/her and hopefully they'll tell you why. If you've already tried that and he/she still won't talk to you then try asking others that are friends with both of you and ask them, why he/she won't talk to you. They might know or be able to find out. If they don't know or can't find out, then maybe your best friend is not for you.
