your car ac will only blow hot air when there coolannt in the car is finished or the car is oveerheated.
Car not blowing air or heat
I don't understand quite how but the ac on my 2009 has been problematic recently. Shortly afterb the battery went bad. Changed the battery and the actual is blowing ice cold. I am mechanically inclined and have no explanation other than the possibly that low voltage affected the pressie switches. Many say this is not possible and I'm here to two you otherwise. There is no doubt in my mind that my ac blowing hot air was the result of a bad battery.
There are three main possible causes to explain why a car air conditioner is blowing hot air. These causes are a worn out compressor, refrigerant leak, and an electrical problem.
You need to change your thermostat in the car.
The AC isn't working.
Your battery and alternator need attention. It sounds as if the charging is faulty and your battery has degraded.
If this is on your car it means your battery needs to be changed. HotKookies
Perhaps an alternator test is in order. Typically, when the motor is running, the car gets it electricity from the alternator, not the battery. (At least that's the way it used to be, someone correct me if I'm wrong)
If a 1988 Lincoln Town Car is blowing both hot and cold air when the air conditioning is on, there could be a problem with the thermostat. There might also be a problem with the level of refrigerant in the air conditioning pump.
I had the same problem with my 2000 Bug and it turned out to be battery issue. Because my car has been sitting in the parking lot for the winter battery was so weak that blower didn't work. And as soon as I replaced the battery it was working. That might help.
It is the car running too rich. or the car is using more gas than air.
There is one under the dash and also the #4 in the big fusebox near the battery. I have heard if that one keeps blowing the pump is bad.
