Yes, cooked potatoes are safe for dogs to consume, as long as they have not been seasoned with salt, butter, garlic, or onions, as those are all detrimental to a dog's body. Raw potatoes are not safe for dogs to consume, so be sure to keep them away from any potato plants in a garden, or those bought at a grocery store.

It depend son the dog itself. Every dog is different. Not every human is allergic to peanuts.

You can add a boiled potato into your dog's diet for some extra nutrients. But never a raw potato as a dog cannot digest raw vegetables.

Contrary to popular belief, dogs DO eat vegetables in the wild, but they cannot eat them raw. Dogs don't have the ability to light fires and cook. So they get their vegetables from their prey by eating the stomach and intestines, where the vegetation the herbivorous prey was consuming has been sterilised and "cooked" in their stomach. Making it healthy for wild dogs (and wolves, lions, tigers, etc) to eat.

Should they? It's up to you and your vet. Can they? Yes. Potato is a common ingredient in dog food.

Yes. Not as a full diet, too much starch but occasional potatoes won't harm a dog.
