i would recommend getting gas when that happens. perhaps take it to the mechanic to fix the gauge
The check gage light comes on if your engine coolant temperature is high , the oil pressure is low , or the gas tank is almost empty
In my car, DTE is Distance To Empty. When that comes on it is telling me that I need fuel. If there is fuel in the tank (full), and it comes on then it could be a bad sensor or a faulty fuel gauge.
Your check gauge light comes on if : your coolant temperature guage shows the temperature is high your oil pressure gauge shows the oil pressure is low or your fuel gauge shows the fuel tank is near empty
The check gage light comes on if the engine coolant temperature is too high , the oil pressure is too low , or the gas gauge is at or near empty
check the alternator and battery.
No , the CHECK " GAGE " light comes on if the gas gauge is at or near empty , the engine coolant temperature is HIGH , or the engine oil pressure is LOW
That depends entirely on the vehicle and on how accurate the gauge is.
The only thing that comes to mind is a defective fuel sending unit.
The gauge or sensor needs to be replaced.
Fuel tank sending unit. Fuse.
Have it checked for codes, it will probably have to do with the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank.
Either the gauge is broken or the sender is broken.
